Renee Boughman, One World Everybody Eats Foundation board member and executive director of FARM Cafe in Boone, NC will be the guest speaker at the One Acre Cafe fundraiser January 26. The event starts aat 6:00pm and includes a silent auction.

All proceeds will go to help open the One Acre Community Cafe.

A Better World Cafe, a community cafe in Highland Park, NJ is celebrating their 3 Year Anniversary on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Please join them to celebrate– there will be great food, local musicians Spook Handy and Albert Valeri, and complimentary anniversary cake!

The cafe is located at 19-21 S. 2nd Ave in Highland PArk, NJ.

This social enterprise, a partnership between Elijah’s Promise and WHo Is My Neighbor? Inc. hopes to make healthy eating accessible and affordable for all. A Better World Cafe follows a community cafe model pioneered by Denise Cerreta Of One World Everybody Eats Foundation in Salt Lake City, Utah

In addition to serving the regular cafe guests, A Better World Cafe servesa complimentary item each day and free meals to volunteers in exchange for their time. Guests that choose tomake a donation help pay for the complimentary and volunteer meals. Throughout the entire anniversary week ( Oct 22-26 ), an ananymous donor is going to MATCH ANY DONATIONS to the cafe 3 for 1 ( so a $1 donation will turn into a $4 donation for the cafe).
